 Appointments at London Health Center

Updated March 27, 2023

Before your office visit

We ask you if you are experiencing any new symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, headache, body aches, fatigue, nasal congestion, difficulty breathing, loss of smell or if you have been in close contact with anyone who is suspected of having Covid-19 let us know and we will order a PCR test prior to your office visit.

If you begin to experience any of these symptoms had you have come into close contact with someone who is positive for Covid-19 before your appointment, please call our office to make other arrangements for your care.

Please do not bring others (caregiver, parent, spouse, child etc) to the appointment if that that person is ill, has symptoms (above) or has been exposed to Covid-19 in the previous 10 days.

Our office policy on masking beginning April 3, 2023:

  • London Health Center is closely following updates about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) from the CDC (U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and local and state public health agencies.

Effective April 3, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) will end the Secretary of Health Mask Order, which currently requires universal masking in healthcare. In Washington, COVID-19, RSV, and influenza disease rates and hospitalizations have continued to decline since the end of last year. Masks have been – and will continue to be – an important tool to keep people healthy and safe.

  • We continue to recommend masking however, after April 3rd, 2023, we are no longer requiring patients to wear a mask unless they have a respiratory illness.

  • If you are immune compromised, you are encouraged to wait outside or in your car until your provider is ready to bring you inside. Please let us know if you will be waiting outside the clinic so we can call you in for your appointment.

  • If 7 day hospitalization rates go above 20/100k or 7 day cases go above 200/100k in Whatcom County, we will require masking inside the clinic again.

You can look here to see hospitalization rates and case rates.

  • Come by yourself or with your interpreter if needed. For minors, come with your parent(s)/guardian. Make arrangements for siblings to stay at home if possible.

  • Parents/Caregivers: Bring in your own toys and books as we are no longer providing toys in the office.

  • If you have a respiratory illness or are immune compromised, please wait in your car in the parking area. Call to let us know you have arrived.

  • When you enter, please wash your hands immediately.

  • If you want to pick supplements after the visit and you have a respiratory infection or do not want to wait with others in the waiting room, please go to your car and call us. We will ask you to pay over the phone and bring the supplements out to you.

London Health Center has installed an air purifier system that runs through the central heating system to improve air quality.
